Are You an Achiever or a Dreamer?

The fine line splitting the two is having a “can-do” attitude!
This means action that focuses on solving issues/problems/roadblocks that arise vs. focusing on the problem and wasting time talking about it.

An achiever spends 10% of the time identifying the problem and 90% of the time on the solution!

10 important steps:

#1:  Take responsibility for your future. Don’t blame circumstances or other people when facing roadblocks. Focus on overcoming the obstacles.
#2:  Be fearless.  Go to the source of the solution head on!  Don’t wait, initiate!
#3:  No complaining!  Guard your mind and mouth, complaining is time-wasting.
#4:  Be empathetic.  In order to make the best decisions, put yourself in the other person’s shoes.  Direction and connection are important to take a team on the journey to achieving goals.
#5:  Be passionate.  Love what you do and continue to fuel the fire that keeps you moving towards the goal.
#6:  Exceed expectations!  Set expectations that are higher than what is dictated. (“over” qualify for everything)
#7:  Quit stewing and start doing!  Don’t be crippled by worry, fear, anxiety….Press forward!
#8:  Adjust to change quickly.  Don’t gripe about an unexpected curve in the road.  Instead, chose to have an optimistic outlook. IT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO FOCUS ON WHAT HAPPENS IN YOU, THEN  WHAT HAPPENS TO  YOU!
#9:  Follow through.  Don’t just initiate....be a finisher!  Be a self starter that closes the deal.
#10:  Expect a GOOD return as the result of your commitment!  Passionate commitment is contagious, and the resources follow resolve.  Committed leaders will  reap rewards and find open doors as others are drawn to the excitement and energy that flows from them!

“Achievers have a CAN-DO attitude that sets them apart from mere dreamers.  Achievers are SOLD OUT to success---no matter the obstacles—and they are willing to put forth the effort and pay the price of success!”  John C. Maxwell

Ask yourself the question…are you an achiever with a dream/vision??  Or are you just a dreamer?  You can make the choice today!
